CMESG is a group of mathematicians and mathematics educators who meet annually to discuss mathematics education issues at all levels of learning. The aims of the Study Group are: (i) to advance education by organizing and coordinating national conferences and seminars to study and improve the theories of the study of mathematics or any other aspects of mathematics education in Canada at all levels; and (ii) to undertake research in mathematics education and to disseminate the results of this research.

Seneca College was the host of the York Region Sci-Tech Fair on April 4, 2009. Students from York Region District School Board, York Catholic District School Board and Independent schools competed in six science categories: Biotechnology, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Engineering and Computer Sciences, Health Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
